Intimate Scottish Wedding by Anna Laska Photography

Hello, my lovely people!
So nice to have you here!

In February I had the pleasure of shooting an intimate wedding, and I have to say, it was truly magical.

It's funny how the Universe works, and how you never know where your clients will find you. In this case, I was attending a winter retreat for self-development, organised by @lynettegray.co.uk and @justjillcoaching. As I was taking photos throughout the weekend, I met a wonderful girl Jenny, who was leading us through kundalini yoga, breathwork and the cacao ceremony.

After the retreat, Jenny asked me to photograph her intimate wedding with her closest family members in a beautiful house in Dunkeld. I was thrilled to say yes, as I absolutely loved Jenny's calm and soothing energy.

Jenny and Callum’s wedding day was nothing short of magical. During her preparation, there were two talented girls singing and playing violin and guitar, creating a beautiful atmosphere. Jenny and Calum exchanged their vows in a cool and atmospheric living room, and I have to admit, I had tears in my eyes as Jenny's vows were so deep and beautiful.

What made the day even more special was the fact that Callum's dad is a celebrant, and he was the one who married them!

After the ceremony, we took some fun pictures in the garden with the family, and also captured some beautiful moments of just Jenny and Callum. I had them jump on a trampoline, creating some fun and spontaneous moments for the camera.

I always give my couples some prompts and capture moments BEFORE and AFTER they did them, just so they wouldn't feel awkward or unsure of what to do in front of the camera.
So just in case if you’re reading this and you think you wouldn’t know what to do during your wedding photo shoot, don’t worry honey, I got you! ;)

During the day I had a second shooter with me, @klaudiabudzisz_photography, who was looking to get into the wedding photography scene, and I was happy to show her how I conduct a wedding day.

As I look back on these photos, I can't help but smile at the love and beauty captured between Jenny and Calum. I feel so privileged to have a job that allows me to capture such precious and beautiful moments for couples like them!
